MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Happy Motivation Monday, and Happy March!  People are talking about spring already, but here in LA it just started to get cold and crisp (50's, that's cold to me). So although March is typically the 'looking forward to warm weather month', I'm enjoying having a fire every night and sleeping in layers. I'm not ready for all these Easter displays and pastel colors! Can't we just live in the moment?!

The first Monday of the month is when I write down all the things I plan to accomplish for the month, goal, tasks, events, etc. and I look back at the previous month and see what I accomplished, (pat on the back), what I thought I would accomplish and didn't, (slap on the head, I mean let myself off the hook :) and what I'm taking with me into the new month, what ideas no longer serve me and what new things have come up to add. I know I've mentioned this before but it's actually a proven fact that when you commit your goals to paper, you're much more likely to accomplish them. I have a month filed with travel, birthday celebrations, and some fabulous projects. I hope your month is filled with what ever makes you happy and...

A March that comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb!

MOTIVATION MONDAY: CONFESSIONS OF AN OVER ACHIEVER

Happy first Monday of September and happy Labor Day.  I hope you are not laboring!

I recently won a Bronze Telly Award for a Public Service Announcement I Executive Produced. I wanted to share the news and post a picture of it on social media but I didn't want it to seem like I was bragging. Then my very wise daughter reminded me that this project was for a charity, made by a charity, with a group of women I work with that donate their time and talent to give back. We do this in our spare time, which none of us have, by the way.  I do too many projects and my September goals list may be longer than some peoples list for the entire year. I don't believe in putting all my eggs in one basket so I have a lot of baskets. My daughter reminded me I should be proud of this award and the 8 others I have been honored to receive as a writer and producer and I'm especially proud of being nominated for an Emmy twice, for one PSA I wrote and one I produced. See, over achiever. Then she grabbed a few more awards off my shelf and took this picture. And I really like it.
So to all my fellow over achievers out there, be proud of yourself and share your accomplishments, so we can be proud of you too!

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Happy Motivation Monday!  Hope you all had a great Valentines weekend. I declared Saturday as Galentines Day because girl time is a must. And I promised myself that on Sunday I would have fun with my husband but also start the day off with some Valentines treats for myself. That meant a mani-pedi and yoga class. I started out early, as tempting as it was to roll over and go back to sleep, I was so happy that I didn't. That was some long over due me time. When I got home my handsome Valentine and I went to the garden nursery, AKA, our happy place. We bought herbs and veggies and new soil and went home and we all dug in, literally. My green house had flown over in a wind storm last week. I actually saw it fly up and passed my living room window, like I was Dorothy in Kansas! So I was anxious to get it back on it's feet and fill it up. It was 85 degrees and gorgeous and I'm wearing sandals in February. (After all I have a fresh pedi.) Then we went out to an early dinner, me and my two special Valentines.

So today's Monday Motivation is about being good to yourself not just on special days but everyday.
And I highly recommend digging your freshly manicured nails into a pot full of dirt!

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

HAPPY MOTIVATION MONDAY!  I just got back from a great girls get-a-way weekend to San Francisco, an early birthday gift from my daughter :) We had such a great time and I'll post about it soon, but for today I just wanted to share one of the pictures from our drive up the coast.  There's nothing like mountains and ocean to give you a sense of renewal.  During this busy time of year (I can't believe it's Christmas week!) remember to take time for yourself and if you can, get outside!  Even a short walk can do wonders.

When doubt creeps into your head,

tell it to get lost!

Believe in yourself, anything is possible.

Happy Monday! It's a new day, a new week and a new season! Go do great things and...

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Happy Monday All!  I know, I know, if someone said that to me right now there's a chance I might say 'oh shut up!' So really as much as my Motivation Monday's are for you they're really for me! ;)

It was a fun packed weekend for us, The Hollywood Bowl Friday night, a pre-season Charger Game in San Diego Saturday night, (which was 4 hours of traffic going, UG, but only 2 1/2 coming home.) And Sunday our AC seemed to die, not fun when it's 100 degrees. We ignored it and jumped in the car and headed to Malibu, it was my grandoghter Miss Penelope's first time at the ocean, she was scared of it, so funny. And fortunately the AC was just a blown fuse.
Here's some things to remember if you are facing a challenging week...

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Happy August!  Something about this month that feels like half lazy days of summer and half super focus making things happen to get ready for the fall. Either way this quote below is truer then ever for me lately, attitude is everything!

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Happy Motivation Monday! I saw this image last week on Face Book, but when I went to the link is was corrupt so I have no idea who to credit for this but I had to share it anyway.  Just think about it, when you stop struggling, you float!  It's so basic and so, so true!
Let go and let it flow!  Have a happy week :)

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

HAPPY FEBRUARY!!!  As we all know February is LOVE month. But I have come to think of it as a reminder to LOVE YOURSELF month!  We give so much as women and we all know you can't give water from an empty well.  I am woman hear me roar! I think of this saying often, mostly when I'm doing something that I have never done before and it's scary or I've just accomplished something amazing or simply dragged my a## out of bed on Sunday morning and made it to yoga.  I challenge you this month to do something loving for yourself everyday and write it down, I promise you will begin to notice how good you feel. Audrey Hepburn said it best...

 also....
meditate...
eat right...
get moving...
and relax...

Join me on my health and beauty board on pinterest, it's a huge source of inspiration for me and a great way to get inspired to take better care of yourself. Do it for your best Valentine, YOU!
