MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Helloooo and Happy Monday!  I know, it's not the first Monday of a month, it's the LAST MONDAY OF THE DECADE!  WOW, that's kind of epic if you ask me.  There's quite the buzz about 2020 and I feel it, do you feel it!?   It's going to be an amazing year!

I hope you've had some down time this holiday season to reflect, release the past year, and plan what's ahead.  And if you need a little jump start here are a few great quotes from Pinterest that I hope will inspire you.

Wishing you a year filled with a healthy body, a calm peaceful mind, stilettos to crush your goals, and a good pair of boots to stomp out any negativity that comes your way.  I wish you financial abundance, spiritual awareness and enough fresh healthy food to balance out a night of pizza and brownies every now and then.  I wish you contentment in your directions, confidence in all of your choices and lots of love in your heart.

Happy New Year!

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Happy Monday!  Are you feeling like this today? Wanting to crawl back under the covers? And talk about bed head!
My Gran-dog-ter Penelope
For those of us that can't spend the day snuggling up to cuddly cuteness like this, (because the world is waiting for us), I share with you my intention for the week ~ to have everything go my way. Yup, that's it. Because when you set yourself up for the good, to expect everything to go your way, guess what?  It usually does.

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Hellooo and happy first Monday of the New Year! It's so exciting isn't it?!?  If you think about it, on any day, any month, any moment we can make choices, goals and resolutions, that can change things on a dime, but for whatever reason on the first day of the new year, (which also happens to be my birthday), it's like a big blank canvas, a clean slate and a new excitement and most of us (I hope) are ready to dive in and have an outstanding fabulous year! So I'm thinking no one really needs any extra motivation today... but here's a little something... just in case ;)

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Happy Monday! It's a new day, a new week and a new season! Go do great things and...

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Happy Monday All!  I know, I know, if someone said that to me right now there's a chance I might say 'oh shut up!' So really as much as my Motivation Monday's are for you they're really for me! ;)

It was a fun packed weekend for us, The Hollywood Bowl Friday night, a pre-season Charger Game in San Diego Saturday night, (which was 4 hours of traffic going, UG, but only 2 1/2 coming home.) And Sunday our AC seemed to die, not fun when it's 100 degrees. We ignored it and jumped in the car and headed to Malibu, it was my grandoghter Miss Penelope's first time at the ocean, she was scared of it, so funny. And fortunately the AC was just a blown fuse.
Here's some things to remember if you are facing a challenging week...

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Happy August!  Something about this month that feels like half lazy days of summer and half super focus making things happen to get ready for the fall. Either way this quote below is truer then ever for me lately, attitude is everything!

BE WELL WEDNESDAY:

That expression ~ when someone is of sound mind and body ~ I never gave it much thought before. And then about 6 months ago my Mom started having short term memory loss. It has rapidly sent her into a precarious state of being. Although she is not sick physically, her mind has taken it's toll on her body. Dementia causes disorientation, weakness and instability.  Your brain, like your body, is a muscle, you've heard it before, use it or loose it. Be active, exercises, eat well, keep learning, keep doing, honor yourself and find what brings you joy and do more of that, and then ~ REPEAT.

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Happy Motivation Monday! Not gonna lie, could use a few more Sundays attached to this weekend. Been having such a great time with my sister and one of my nephews that are visiting.  And although they're here because my Moms not doing well, it's still a blast to have them around and lots of extra help too. Juggling a little more then usual lately and looking forward to an amazing week so here's a few quotes to help get this party started.  Happy Monday, make it a great one!

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Happy Motivation Monday! Hope you all had an awesome weekend. We just got back from spending the weekend in Arizona for my Mother-in-laws 80th birthday surprise. Watch for a DIY post this week on how we made the cake with Fondant, (and then drove it 430 miles and got it there in one piece!)

This is an exciting week starting off tonight with my daughter, Dana Melanie, Guest Staring (as Amanda) on The Night Shift, on NBC at 10:00 PM, hope everyone can tune in!

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Happy Motivation Monday everyone! Hope you had a lovely holiday(s). Last night, after a great weekend celebrating Passover, Easter and relaxing, we watched The Ten Comendments, yup all 4 hours of it. As corny as it is I just love that movie. So I was motivated to post this quote from Eckhart Tolle. It really is all in the knowing. Have a great week!

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Helloooo Monday!  Here's a little inspiration to get you going, even if you wanted to pull the covers over your head this morning. Getting up in the dark stinks! But having more daylight at the end of the day is just fabulous.

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Happy Motivation Monday! This weeks motivation is all about will power. Who's Will Power? Yup, that's my answer every time someone mentions will power, it's a line from an old Marilyn Monroe movie and it pretty much sums up the amount of will power I have which is...um...none.

Oh I'm the first on board when someone posts a group, you know the ones, loose 10 pounds in ten days, 30 day detox, ten days to tank top arms, etc., etc., etc.  I'm good for about 3 days. So I have decided to challenge myself this week.  This may seem like an odd challenge but if you read my post Let's Do Lunch you'll know I'm obsessed with lunches.  I work in Beverly Hills, it's a lunch mecca! I love food, I love the respit in the middle of my crazy days and whether I'm with friends, by myself, with my husband or with my most notorious fancy girls lunch date, my daughter, I just LOVE lunching.

SOOOOO, this week I have decided to brown bag it, or in my case, leopard lunch box it. I have a few reasons for this. First, no matter how healthy you eat out (and I do) there are always hidden calories, fat, salt, etc. when you eat at a restaurant. Second, I want to walk more at lunch time and there are great places to walk in my work hood. Third, I want to challenge myself to make some interesting healthy lunches that I will share with you. And fourth, I want to see if I can actually do it because just thinking about it has me craving Tender Greens backyard steak on kale salad, medium well with a green ice tea and a gluten free chocolate cookie, (which is the best thing on earth.)  OMG, see!  I'm having withdrawal just thinking about a week without Tender Greens!

OK, OK, I'm under control and I shall head into the kitchen now (Sunday night) and make California Fiesta Quinoa Salad for tomorrows lunch. The criteria for my challenge is that the food has to be healthy, low cal and home made, and I have to eat it somewhere fabulous that I have walked to.

I have chosen this week because my most notorious lunch partner is away on location and because it was 85 degrees this weekend and it got me thinking of tank top arms. (Which I do not have.)

I'll be sharing photos and recipes next week on the blog and daily on instgram, hash tag #leopardlunchboxchallenge. Wish me luck!

P.S. ~ My husband just read in the newspaper that Tuesday is National Pack a Lunch Day! How Serendipitous!!!

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Welcome to March! Getting off to an epic start this morning seeing my daughter off to go on her next location shoot. (I'm under the cone of silence but it's for an NBC show!)
This week I have decided to....
and of course....
 and definitely....

Happy Motivation Monday! Sharing my mantra, the three things that make everything possible!

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Happy Motivation Monday! I saw this image last week on Face Book, but when I went to the link is was corrupt so I have no idea who to credit for this but I had to share it anyway.  Just think about it, when you stop struggling, you float!  It's so basic and so, so true!
Let go and let it flow!  Have a happy week :)

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

HAPPY FEBRUARY!!!  As we all know February is LOVE month. But I have come to think of it as a reminder to LOVE YOURSELF month!  We give so much as women and we all know you can't give water from an empty well.  I am woman hear me roar! I think of this saying often, mostly when I'm doing something that I have never done before and it's scary or I've just accomplished something amazing or simply dragged my a## out of bed on Sunday morning and made it to yoga.  I challenge you this month to do something loving for yourself everyday and write it down, I promise you will begin to notice how good you feel. Audrey Hepburn said it best...

 also....
meditate...
eat right...
get moving...
and relax...

Join me on my health and beauty board on pinterest, it's a huge source of inspiration for me and a great way to get inspired to take better care of yourself. Do it for your best Valentine, YOU!

MOTIVATION MONDAY:

Happy Motivation Monday and happy first half of the first month of the new year!  OK a little over half.  So did you make a list of all the wonderful things you plan to do in 2015?  I hope so. I see motivation like food for the mind, you have to keep putting it in to get something out.  So this week remember...
 and...
 therefore...

Motivation Monday 2015!

Happy Motivation Monday, the first of 2015!  And Happy New Year!  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. Although I'm sad to see the holidays over I'm really excited to start on a wonderful 2015! Last weekend my daughter/BFF and I had a spa day, our gift to each other for the holidays and yesterday I did it with my girlfriend/BFF who took me for my birthday, lucky me! (I'm a New Years Baby.)

We've been doing this year end ritual for the last 18 years (yikes!) taking the time to acknowledge our accomplishments for the past year and making a list of our new goals and dreams while taking time for a facial or massage, making vision boards and stuffing our faces with healthy nibbles.  We try to make it a getaway weekend but this year, due to tight schedules we only had the day, but it was fabulous just the same.  I was so relaxed that I even did the unthinkable, I forgot to take any pictures!!! So I'm cheating and using one from last year.

I highly recommend writing down your dreams, doing a vision board, writing them in your planner and really thinking about how you want your new year to look. I do this with my husband as well, (minus the facials and vision boards ;), because a dream without a PLAN is just a wish.
Saw this post by Kris Carr and knew I had to post it for the first Monday of the year.  Read it, Print it, and Put it where you can see it every day. Be a Trailblazer! Cheers to a happy new year!
