NYFW:

Fall/Winter 2015/16 of New York Fashion Week has come and gone. How Sex And The City is this candid snap of Anna Wintour and Sarah Jessica Parker, front row and center for the Calvin Klein Collection. (Is she wearing pleather?)

Who doesn't love a good Calvin Klein Sheath dress? But the fact is that unless you're flat chested this collection is not for you (and definitely not for me.)

Themes for the collections were simple silhouettes, classic lines, a tailored fit and a mix of muted colors, textures and embellishments, and of course a little funkiness thrown in, after all it's the runway.

The Ralph Lauren collection, always a class act. Black is always the new black, but this grayish taupeness! It's so good for us red heads!  I love all of these looks, although I don't think I could pull off the tie.

Michael Kors (below) has taken his classic all American signature style and given it a British twist. Kind of like Hollywood Glam meets Downton Abbey. I love the combo of tailored mixed with chunky knits. But I'm saddened by the fact that the fur is real, in fact I almost didn't post them. I cannot understand how in this day and age any designer would think that is acceptable. So if you like these looks and want to create your own versions use one of the many good looking faux fur collar/scarfs out there.  I have a fab one from H & M.

I'm impressed with the shoes (that I wore in the 80's!) and how they actually look good, when lets face it, they put the frump in frumpy, but I suppose if you're a model and a zillion feet tall everything looks good.

J.Crew never disappoints with the ability to smoothly mix classic tailoring with patterns and textures.

I was seriously hard pressed to find anything truly feminine and colorful for those of you that have that style, so here's some looks from a few fashion blogger's and us regular gals on the street. It amazes me how good women can look even when they're freakn freezing!  Big A for effort!

Next up ~ March 3 - 11 it's Paris Fashion Week! I'll be there, in my mind, so let's have Macaroons ;)
