We all went on a fun shopping trip together on Friday, picked what we wanted, bought things, went home, wrapped it all, put it under the tree and on Christmas morning we will open them and pretend to be surprised, like WOW! And a new holiday tradition was born. Takes all the stress out of what to get who. (But just between us girls, I have a few surprises for them too, wink, wink.)
Saturday we had an early Christmas celebration with family up North. My sister-in-law is an amazing hostess and always makes everything so special. Christmas Eve will be a quiet night at home which I'm really looking forward to.
This past year was filled with many great times and some not so great times, but I loved them all just the same. That's life after all.
